Privacy Policy

I try to keep this site simple and I try to keep this policy simple too. Here’s exactly what happens when you visit.

What’s collected

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to help me see which pages people find useful. That means Google drops a small file (a cookie) in your browser and reports back anonymous data like: which page you landed on, roughly where in the world you came from (country/region), the type of device you’re on, and how long you spent reading.

Your IP address is anonymized before it’s stored — the last portion is stripped, so it can’t be tied back to a specific household or person.

What isn’t collected

  • No names, emails, phone numbers, or other identifying details (unless you send them to me via the contact form on your own initiative)
  • No payment information — this site doesn’t sell anything directly
  • No ad targeting — I don’t run ads and I don’t share analytics data with any ad network
  • No sale of your data — full stop, ever

When you use the contact form

If you fill out the contact form on the Contact page, your submission is sent to me via Fluent Forms and forwarded to my email. I use that information solely to reply to you and follow up if we work together. I don’t add form-submitters to any marketing list unless you explicitly opt in.

Third-party services that touch this site

  • Google Analytics — anonymized visit data (see above)
  • Google Fonts — font files served via Google’s CDN. Google’s servers see the request but I don’t share any additional data with them
  • Fluent Forms — a WordPress plugin that handles the contact form submissions. Data stays on my Hostinger server
  • Hostinger — the hosting company for this site. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) are kept for security purposes and rotated per Hostinger’s retention policy

Your rights

You can:

  • Disable cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site still works fine
  • Opt out of Google Analytics site-wide by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on
  • Contact me at hello[at]alynncreative[dot]com to ask what data I have, request its deletion, or ask questions about any of this

Changes to this policy

If I ever change how I handle data on this site, I’ll update this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
